Moraga, California, was built on one of the original Spanish Land Grants and incorporates the former communities of Rheem, Rheem Valley, and Moraga Town. Formerly known as Rancho Laguna de Los Palos Colorados, the area was once filled with orchards, farms, and ranches. Residents of Moraga have easy access to the nearby cities of Berkeley (9 miles away), Oakland (14 miles away) and San Francisco (20 miles away).
